Spiritualitas di Era Digital
Peluang, Tantangan, dan Kontekstualisasi Iman
Abstrak
Perkembangan teknologi informasi juga turut membentuk dimensi spiritualitas manusia. Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena spiritualitas digital yang muncul seiring dengan intensifikasi penggunaan media sosial dan platform digital dalam praktik keagamaan. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk spiritualitas digital berkembang di masyarakat serta dampaknya terhadap pemahaman dan pengalaman spiritual orang Kristen. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan (library research). Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami peluang dan tantangan spiritualitas dalam konteks digital dan menyoroti peran teknologi sebagai medium baru dalam pencarian makna spiritual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial tidak sekadar menjadi alat pelayanan (use of technology), tetapi juga ruang teologis dan eksistensial (being in digitality) yang membentuk cara orang Kristen menghayati dan mengekspresikan imannya. Gereja perlu mengembangkan spiritualitas digital yang kontekstual, kritis, dan transformatif agar teknologi dapat digunakan sebagai sarana pemuridan, pembentukan karakter, dan penguatan komunitas iman di era digital.
