Merekonstruksi Konteks Sosial Komunitas Injil Matius
Abstrak
Komunitas Matius, merupakan Kristen Yahudi yang mendefinisikan diri mereka sebagai Pengikut Yesus, yang berbeda dari gerakan -gerakan Yudaisme. Komunitas Matius adalah hasil fragmentasi masyarakat Yahudi. Hal inilah yang menjadikan komunitas Matius terjebak dalam "konflik keluarga" yang dikaitkan dengan "klaim saingan untuk kebenaran eksklusif dalam sistem simbol agama yang sama". Matius mengungkapkan sentimennya bahwa komunitasnya terancam dan berjuang untuk bertahan hidup, tetapi dengan menaruh kepercayaan mereka kepada Yesus, mereka dapat bertahan hidup dan membangun identitas mereka sendiri. Bahwa konflik tersebut terutama berasal dari dalam-Yahudi. Dalam lingkungan Yahudi ini, komunitas Matius berjuang di dua front.
