Suatu Analisis Kritis Mencermati ‘Mutasi Genetik’ Gerakan Zaman Baru yang Memengaruhi Segala Aspek Kehidupan Kristen
Abstract
Pengaruh modernisme seakan takkan pernah terbendung, baik di dunia sekular maupun di dunia kekristenan, yang bahkan telah menjadi seperti „virus‟ yang bermutasi lebih „ganas‟, dan lebih „kuat‟ dibanding dengan generasi sebelumnya. Gerakan Zaman Baru ini telah mengglobal dan bermutasi dengan bentuk yang lebih sulit dideteksi, merasuki seluruh jaringan kehidupan rohani jemaat gereja. Gerakan Zaman Baru ini meliputi realitas rohani seperti meditasi, penyembuhan-penyembuhan kristal, pengalaman- pengalaman di luar tubuh, hipnotis, dsb. Hal ini disebabkan oleh karena filosofi esoterisisme dalam Gerakan Zaman Baru merupakan penggabungan antara pemikiran Barat dan pemikiran Timur, di mana setiap manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk mencapai tahap pencerahan melalui latihan batin dan berhubungan dengan penuntun-penuntun batin. Celakanya, Gerakan Zaman Baru telah mengalami „mutasi genetika‟ yang dimulai dengan pemahaman orang percaya Kristus sebagai anak-anak Allah, pewaris Kerajaan Allah.
