Analisis Hukum Kompensasi Mata Ganti Mata Gigi Ganti Gigi dalam Keluaran 21:22-25
Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi implikasi hukum kompensasi mata ganti mata dan gigi ganti gigi sebagaimana yang diatur dalam Keluaran 21:22-25. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis teks Alkitab untuk memahami aturan hukum yang berkaitan dengan kompensasi mata ganti mata dan gigi ganti gigi serta mencari pemahaman tentang konteks sosial dan hukum di masa lalu saat aturan tersebut dirumuskan. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aturan hukum tentang kompensasi mata ganti mata dan gigi ganti gigi merupakan peraturan yang adil dan merujuk pada prinsip penggantian kerugian. Selain itu, aturan ini juga memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan nilai-nilai manusiawi dalam sistem hukum pada masa lalu.
