Alternatif tafsiran non-kekerasan dalam praktik kehidupan Yesus
Abstract
Ajaran dan praktik non-kekerasan pada umumnya menjadi ciri seorang pengikut Yesus. Dimulai dari Fransiskus dari Asisi hingga John Howard Yoder mengajarkan bahwa seorang Kristen seharusnya memraktekkan kehidupan non-kekerasan. Namun, artikel ini mencoba melihat sisi lain dari pelayanan Yesus, secara khusus dari teks yang mengisahkan mengenai perintah Yesus kepada para murid untuk membawa senjata dan ketika yesus menubuatkan mengenai kehancuran Bait Allah. Melalui metode penelitian studi pustaka, penulis menemukan bahwa ada indikasi bahwa Yesus berencana melakukan tindakan kekerasan. Melalui hasil tersebut, penggambaran Yesus yang menghidupi ajaran non-kekerasan menjadi terbuka untuk didiskusikan.
