The study reveals that Deuteronomy 6:1-9 not only commands parents to teach their children, but also implies the active involvement of children as part of the people of Israel who listen to, receive, and internalize the teachings in daily life. The use of visual symbolism and verbal repetition in the text emphasizes the importance of holistic and contextual teaching. Children are seen as functional characters in the narrative not merely passive recipients, but active inheritors and participants in the practice of God's Word. Therefore, the findings of this study broaden the perspective on the role of children in Christian spiritual education and invite both churches and parents to design learning strategies that empower children as active subjects in the teaching of God's Word.
Detrianus Zai Salomo Sihombing Pelita Hati Surbakti Copyright (c) 2025 Te Deum (Jurnal Teologi dan Pengembangan Pelayanan) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-30 2025-12-30 15 1 1 12 10.51828/td.v15i1.478 The Nature of God through the Analogy of a Mother’s Faithfulness https://ojs.sttsappi.ac.id/index.php/tedeum/article/view/465
This research examines one of God's attributes, namely the divine faithfulness, through the analogy of a mother's faithfulness to her child in Isaiah 49:14-15. Previous research by Greene tended to focus solely on the feminine imagery of Yahweh as a conceptual metaphor, whereas this text actually contains a more complex analogy. The method used is thematic analysis within the scope of systematic theology, following biblical exegetical interpretation steps including analysis of the salvation prophecy genre and specific analysis of the analogy. The research findings reveal that God's attribute of faithfulness encompasses three aspects: covenant, intimacy, and transcendence. These aspects complement each other in explaining God's faithfulness within His salvation plan for His people, thus providing a biblical theological foundation for building the spirituality of believers.
Vinny Elvira Walintukan Farel Yosua Sualang Copyright (c) 2025 Te Deum (Jurnal Teologi dan Pengembangan Pelayanan) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-30 2025-12-30 15 1 13 25 10.51828/td.v15i1.465 Caring for the Earth as a Matter of Faith https://ojs.sttsappi.ac.id/index.php/tedeum/article/view/409
Global environmental crises demand new approaches to conservation, including religious perspectives such as Christianity. The Christian perspective provides a significant theological and ethical framework for environmental management. This study aims to explore and analyze the contribution of the Christian perspective to environmental management through a systematic literature review approach. This study employs a systematic literature review approach to explore ecological concepts within Christianity. Data were collected from major academic databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar, focusing on eco-theology and environmental management from a Christian viewpoint. Findings indicate that Christian doctrines of creation and stewardship support environmental responsibility. Interfaith dialogue, integrating Christian spirituality with ecological issues, and a comprehensive eco-theological understanding are crucial for addressing environmental crises. This research encourages the Christian community to actively engage in environmental conservation efforts and develop management strategies grounded in spiritual values. Dialogue and collaboration among religious communities can enhance global sustainability efforts.
Edi Purwanto Copyright (c) 2025 Te Deum (Jurnal Teologi dan Pengembangan Pelayanan) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-12-30 2025-12-30 15 1 27 36 10.51828/td.v15i1.409
